!NetSurf won't fetch on RPC-SE

Has anyone had any sucess with getting recent builds of !NetSurf to fetch on Virtual RPC-SE ? All I get is 'Can't resolve host xxxx'

Ok, with a bit of poking around it looks like NetSurf is using UnixLib which contacts dns servers directly, rather than using Resolver SWIs. This requires that you either have a resolver file set up or have Inet$Resolvers configured to the address of your dns servers (e.g. your broadband router)

set Inet$Resolvers 192.168.1.1

works for me. I'll take a look to see if it is possible to set this up automatically but I've a feeling it's harder than it looks, especially with dialup connections.

Cheers Graeme - that's done the job for me. Netsurf progress is looking quite good me thinks - it certainly renders faster than Oregano1 on my system.

I've now added support for setting up Inet$Resolvers automatically so this should be available in a future update

Still no luck with !netsurf and !hermes / !Grapevine
Oregano/Fresco /!newshound or !FTPc are working.
Not really an issue for me (running VA for Mac beta2 on Mac OSX 10.5)
I use VA for programming and playing with !artworks for most internet stuff I switch back to the Mac OS desktop.

NetSurf doesn't yet work on VRPC running on the Mac. It's fine on Windows versions of VRPC. See my response to your posting in the Mac thread.
