I know that there is not an official way in which the 8Mb VRAM can be used with VRPC-RO3.49 (Adjust), but is there a "hack" which would make it possible? I use the native resolution of my laptop screen of 1400x1050, but at only 256 colours at present.

VirtualRPC-Adjust supports 8MB screen modes out of the box, or it should do, if it isn't then contact us directly.

Am I correct in assuming then that 8MB works on RO 4.0x and Adjust, but not on Select? If so, are there plans to change that?

8MB screen modes work with the versions of RISC OS supplied with VirtualRPC-SE or VirtualRPC-Adjust. Currently versions of RISC OS supplied as part of the Select scheme do not support 8Mb screen modes.

Ah! I have VRPC-SE over which I have softloaded RO 4.39.
So if I want the 8Mb VRAM I'll have to go back to VRPC-SE, won't I?
Alternatively, is there any chance of some sort of patch to allow me to keep 8Mb VRAM under 4.39?
