From time to time I am unable to shut down VirtualRPC-Adjust, as when I click on the icon the mouse pointer freezes. The only way out is to Alt/Enter and then Exit.
Of course, doing this then returns the message on rebooting that the computer was not shut down correctly. Trying to Shutdown and reboot again leads to the mouse freezing. And so we get into a never ending circle :-)
The only way I've found to cure it, most times, is to shut down the PC, leave it for a few minutes snd then reboot and load VirtualRPC-Adjust. On receipt of the error message I am then, oftimes, able to shutdown and then Restart normally.
This problem seems to have no regular frequency but is often enough to cause me to "hate" it.
Has anyone a suggestion as to what may be causing it?
Regards from New Zealand
David

I don't know what's causing it. Provided you know that RISC OS was shut down OK (by clicking on the close icon on the VA window) and you didn't have any open files you can ignore the message.

Ah! perhaps I didn't explain myself properly. It is when I click on the close icon that the mouse freezes. I never get to the stage that the dialogue box informing me that I may "Restart" is displayed. Hence, when I exit by Alt/Enter/Exit and then reboot I get the message that VirtualRPC-Adjust was not shut down properly.
