I am running the beta of VRPC for the Mac on an iBook. So far it is working very well, but I have noted one line that flashes up during boot up, which is this:
Net.Inet.UDP.Checksum: Unimplemented SWI
Now I have the emulation networking with my PowerMac G4, Iyonix, SARiscPC and even the iBook, via either Acorn Access or LanManFS/LanMan98 and either hard wired or via Airport with no apparent problems, so it doesn't seem to have any net problems. I can collect my email and use a web browser so the internet access is working.
So what does the line mean? Has anyone else seen this? Is it actually a fault or just some information that will be useful for the programmer?
If you need any further information about my actual setup or what I am running, I can supply full details, but the iBook is only a year old and one of the last spec. 1.42GHz CPU with 1GB RAM running OSX 10.4.10 and VRPC is set to run in full screen mode emulating a StrongArm with 16 million colours in 1024 x 768 screen mode.
However I have tried it emulating a 710 RPC as well, and the same line appears during boot up, also with no apparent ill effects.

You can safely ignore this PreDesk message as it doesn't matter.
