I have VirtualRPC running on my my MacBook Pro (using latest OS), and upgraded to Riscos 6.10

I regularly find it appears to freeze. Either it stays as a black screen or it boots up but later seems to freeze. Moving the mouse over the RISCOS window results in the cursor disappearing. Is there any advice or work arounds?

Does this also happen using the default RISC OS4.39?
Or does it only happen after the softload process?

I upgraded on installation. Should I uninstall or just bypass it?

My suggestion is to delete this installtion. Re-install and then check it all works OK - before installing RISC OS 6.

I've done a clean install on my copy (800427-ADJm) and will test thoroughly with 4.39 and then try to update. The only thing not working at present is MPro - I have wireless networking on my Mac and have it setup with DNS values, router value and Dynamic IP. Is there something else I need to do for MPro - its telling me it can't resolve my mail addresses. !Netsurf and !Sargasso both work.

My error was to not install the internet.bundle update. I have done this and it now all works

OK, that would explain it (I think).

Before installing RISC OS 6 take a backup of the HardDisc4 folder (inside the VirtualAcorn folder in Applications). That way if something does go wrong it will be very easy to revert to a working install.

I regularly zip up the HardDisk from Mac side as backup so will do that first.

Has anyone reported success/failure with 6.10 on the Mac?

I've reinstalled 6.10 and had no trouble so far. Will report if I have any more issues.
