I'm using VRPC running Risc OS 4.39 on a Mac PB running Mac OS 10.6.5 printing to an HP 840C. The printer driver on the Mac itself is the GIMP driver, as HP no longer support that printer on the latest OS, however print from the Mac gives faithful colours. Risc OS prints to a file which the Mac printer driver then picks up and prints. My understanding is that it simply prints the file, so any alterations that !GutenPrint makes would be faithfully reproduced.

I have tried altering the gamma value as suggested, and even rebooting Risc OS afterwards, but there is no difference. Colours are still much darker.

If anyone has any solution I would be grateful.

You need to ask Martin Wuerthner about this problem as he supplies GutenPrint and should be able to help.
