 Post subject: Mouse freezing when running audio programmes

Ok, second go at this since when I hit "preview" it wiped out my message :(

When running VA5000 and trying to run any music programmes (eg !Tracker, !Jukebox or just the Soundplayer module) the mouse freezes and only works for about a second at a time. Extremely infuriating, the only thing you can do is a power cycle (from VA and even the menus for the app take a while to appear).

I've been through the FAQ and tried the suggestions to no avail, Task MGR should that VA5000 is using all the CPU.

Any ideas?

If you have AC97 audio then make sure that you have the latest
drivers, also make sure that DirectX is up to date. This does happen
on some machines and we think it is some kind of threading issue.
