Hi folks!

This is my first post here. Although I bought VA5000 last year at Wakefield, I've really only just had time to play with it properly.

I have an XP laptop networked (wirelessly) to my Kinetic RPC. I've managed to get the two talking to each other and see each others' files.

However, I can't get !Samba to serve my RPC files with the correct filetypes so when I view them in VA5000 I can't really use them.

Has anyone got a similar arrangement that works? How can I sort out this filetyping problem?

I'd like to upgrade to VRPC-SE but if I can't get past this problem it'll be pointless for me.

Any help would be appreciated.

You may have solved this one already.
However, when running VA5000 in a window select tools, options, hostfs extensions and add the approriate file types. You will have to re-run VA5000 for the new extensions to be seen, not just reboot.
