File stamp not updated

When amending and saving files from the original VA CD distribution, the file stamp is not updated (i.e., as shown in Info or the Save dialogue box).

Is this because of their attributes under Windows, because they were copied from CD? ('New' files are OK).

Windows has three file stamps, The created date, the modified
date and the accessed date. From memory I think that some
early versions of HostFS used the wrong date so the datestamp
passed to RISC OS was the wrong one.

Files copied from CD are automatically set to read only [in windows] so VA won't be able to update them.
