When I run VA I get a message saying that only one copy of Alarm can be run. I have to click the OK box 3 or 4 times to get rid of it. Is there any to stop this error message appearing?
Yes, it caused by a change in the boot sequence coupled with
the fact that some early copies of VA5000 had a knackered
HostFS extensions file (my fault).
Anyway load VA5000, shift double click on !Boot to open it. Now
go into Choices.Boot.Tasks.
You will see 2 copies of a number of files (e.g. two files both
called Tasks). Starting from top left and reading across
each row delete the FIRST example of each duplicated
file.
Having done this quit and re-load VA5000 - then it should be
OK. If you still get an error about !Alarms delete the file
!Boot.Choices.Boot.Tasks.Alarms
