I'd like to add my custom settings, but !Alarm does not show them. On my Risc PC it does. What is the solution? I'm doing exactly the same thing on both machines.
The differences are: Virtual RPC v4.39 vs RPC v4.03
TIA

What version of !Alarm do you have on both systems?
I would expect Version 2.7 (13-Feb-95) - which does just the same on VRPC as it does on a Risc PC700.

v.2.76 (1 Jan 2004) on VRPC
v.2.75 (6 Oct 2002) on RPC
It's the newer one that is not doing what it should.
I'd like it to show the time and date like this:
15:30:01 Saturday 27th October 2007
but it always returns to 3:30:01pm 27/10/07
which is the default custom setting. I know I am entering the correct data as I can copy it directly from the Risc PC.
Thanks.

Hmmmmm.
Interesting.
Probably my fault that I have 2.7 on both. I have changed some things to make my VRPC as compatible as I can with my Risc PC600 and Risc PC700 machines (And even with an old A410)
Can you not solve your problem just by putting the older version of !Alarm on both machines?

Interesting idea, but it didn't work, as !Alarm is in Apps and the computer must see that as it boots up anyway, so it loads the newer version.
Thanks for the suggestion.

You should still be able to run an older version.
Just edit !Boot.Choices.Boot.Desktop to run the version of !alarm which you want, rather than the standard one.
