Sometimes the caps lock light doesn't show the status to the real status of the caps lock. Until now, I thought that I'd used the caps key while the focus isn't on VRPC. However, I recently found a way to create this without leaving fullscreen modus in VRPC.

If I type shift-caps, RISC OS goes into 'ShiftCaps' mode, i.e. capitals but lowcaps when used with shift. This works as intended, but while a 'real' acorn keeps the caps lock always on in this mode, VRPC toggles the light, with the result that it gets out of sync.

I'm not sure if I want this issue resolved: It is a nice way to get the caps light & function 'in sync' again.

It would have been lovely if VRPC on gaining focus would adjust the caps-light to the actual status within the emulator.

Cheers,
Jan-Jaap

Personally I'd prefer it if VRPC kept instep with windows caps lock state.

Having the caps lock state change when you switch between applications I would find extreemly anoying! Well actually I already find it extreemly annoying!

I agree, but I suppose that might be a bit strange for applications that wouldn't allow the change of the caps-status and change it back again or something like that. Well, maybe not. I don't know. How many of those are there?!?!?... It just felt technically more correct to do it the way I proposed. But I agree, I would prefer your method... :-)

Cheers,
