I've just upgraded to the latest version of V.RPC-SE via download from the VA website (i've got a dell latitude running windows 2000 pro.).
With Aaron's help I've sorted out a SyncClock problem but now when I use shutdown from both fullscreen and within a window, the whole lots disappears and I no longer get the option to restart (or go to windows).
Is this a bug or a new feature?! (if it's a feature, I miss the restart option!)

If there is a Portable module present (that's what the new power management code provides) then this is the expected behaviour in RISC OS 4. Select/Adjust give you more options.

If you have a later VRPC-SE then you can try copying the new version of the Switcher designed for RISC OS Select into the predesk directory on RISC OS 4.

The new Switcher can be found in the SelectSupport directory in HostFS::HardDisc4.

Copying this new switcher into the vanilla RISC OS 4 boot sequence on my machines "restores" all the old options, but I should point out that thisswitcher has not been tested on OS 4 and your mileage may vary.
