Thanks for the suggestions. Taking each in turn: 1) Yes, I've re-downloaded the most recent POPStar, including the SocketWatch module a couple of times. 2) As far as I can tell, it is 3) I do use MessengerPro, but the problem is very specific to POPStar, which is not an rcomp product so I'm not sure how they'd be able to help. 4) I'm a bit confused by this one - you've expressly said before NOT to alter the networking settings. And, besides, the networking works (e.g. browsing the internet with NetSurf) until I load the SocketWatch module.
