I am confused.

Why did I get a error box asking me to make this shared disc available?

Because you did something :D

OK, you've probably installed something that has a path pointing to such a shared drive. Usual examples include dropping stuff on the pinboard from such a remote disc, then saving the pinboard. Adding an item to the boot sequence from this drive, then not making the drive available..

or

The name refers to some kind of image filing system, from which the boot sequence is trying to find a file...

etc

Agreed.

It is one of:

- I ran the !Printers+ application supplied withe VRPC-SE and then printed some test files to a real RiscPC 600 with a LaserJet II printer.

- I downloaded a more up-to-date version of !WebJames (in a Zip file).

But the message appeared quite a time after both of those. Let's hope it just goes away. (It seems to have done so)

It could be Printers+ if it's been trying to set up network printing, but it would probably be best to ask RISCOS Ltd.
