After downloading the Network Upgrade patch and applying it my VRPC does not start.

I have tried a completely new install which also failed after applying the upgrade.

I have noticed that in the tools->options window there are no
hostfs or hostfs extensions tabs.

Also, viewing the console gives:

INET ERROR Read from invalid address 0xac
INET ERROR Read from invalid address 0xb0
INET ERROR Read from invalid address 0xb4
INET ERROR Read from invalid address 0xb8
INET ERROR Read from invalid address 0xbc
INET ERROR Read from invalid address 0xc0
INET ERROR Read from invalid address 0xc4
INET ERROR Read from invalid address 0xc8
....and so on

Further investigation reveals that the Plugins folder has
some empty folders, namely...
atapicd, hostfs, realfloppy, superio

Something has gone wrong. Anyone any idea what?

Cheers
Kriten

Further to my previous post...

If I am quick enough I can stretch the console view and copy to clipboard the following:

Loading Plugin 'atapicd': failed to find code module

Hope this is of use to the programmers cos it took me ages to be quick enough to stretch the console view and ctrl-c the first section before it disappeared amid a flurry or INET ERRORs.
A maximize gadget on the console window would help. :)

Cheers

It looks like the upgrade didn't work properly. I suggest for the time being you install a second copy of VRPC elsewhere on your disk (just the main installation) and copy the plugin files from the new version to the old one.

As for the INET errors, I'll look into them

Graeme

I will have another look at the upgrader, it's run fine here, but
there must be a fault of some sort. Sorry I will investigate
asap.

Something v. nasty has happened to the upgrader. I can only apologise. A new version was uploaded at 12:30 this morning.

You will need to re-install VirtualRPC-SE, then download the network upgrade again and it should be fine.
