When double-clicking there is a difference between a using a touchpad and using the buttons under the pad.

Double-tapping the pad opens a file/etc, but also does something extra after the file opens: the file listing in the filer window highlights again and moving the pointer starts a drag! It's very annoying.

I've tried several configurations of the input device in !Boot, but maybe VRPC does not recognise the EeePC Elantech SmartPad. Is this so?

It's a pity, as when you're using a notebook, or portable with a touchpad the simplest way to do a click and a double-click is to use the pad.

In contrast, the buttons under the touchpad do a normal double-click without the extra highlighting.

If VirtualRPC didn't "recognise" the device then it wouldn't work. It plainly does work, but double taps are doing something extra.

There is no point altering the options inside RISC OS as this isn't where the touchpad is controlled. The problem will be the touchpad settings under Windows.
