Corrupted VirtualRPC installation

The error that is being displayed indicates that your VirtualRPC installation has been corrupted in some way. It's most likely that the error relates to a corrupted model.cfg file but a standard VirtualRPC installation consists of thousands of files and the corruption could extend to many individual files.

If you keep a regular backup you should delete the current Models folder inside the VirtualRPC installation and then copy the Models folder from the most recent backup into the VirtualRPC installation. If you don't keep backups you will need to install another copy of VirtualRPC somewhere else on your PC and then copy the Models folder from this new install to the installation giving the error. If copying the Models folder clears the error you should take an immediate backup of your VirtualRPC installation, we recommend burning it to a DVD (do not use a CD). If you don't have a DVD writer use a USB memory stick.

Once you have a backup of VirtualRPC you need to investigate the cause of the corruption before using this PC. Check the hard drive for errors and if any errors are found and the drive is over 3 years old it should be replaced before the PC is used again.
