VirtualAcorn Black Screen

What's probably happened is that your FireWall has blocked network access from VirtualAcorn. The Firewall will halt VirtualAcorn whilst it asks if you want to allow VirtualAcorn to have network access. However if VirtualAcorn is running in full screen mode you won't see the Firewall warning window.

Solution

Switch VirtualAcorn to a window with Alt and Enter and confirm with your Firewall that it is OK for VirtualAcorn to access the internet. VirtualAcorn should then continue as normal. If you are using ZoneAlarm then make sure you tick the Remember this setting button or the problem will come back next time you start VirtualAcorn.
