Access Violation when trying to install RISC OS 6
This is a fairly rare problem but the error can make it impossible for RISC OS 6 to be installed. No matter how much time is spent trying to find the fault in RISC OS the error cannot be bypassed. This is because the error is caused by factors external to the VirtualRPC installation.If you are using UniPrint from RComp try quitting the Windows part of Uniprint then try installing RISC OS 6 again. The install may now proceed without the error. If you are not using Uniprint, or quitting the Windows part of Uniprint didn't help, the fault will be with the Windows file permissions for the VirtualAcorn installation. This is almost always because VirtualAcorn has previously been moved from a different PC. When the VirtualAcorn files were copied to the new PC the 'ownership rights' were not updated with administrator rights. This problem is very rare but can occur whenever files are copied from one PC to another.
