Ordering from VirtualAcorn
When ordering from us you have a number of choices. You can either:
- Order on-line using our secure ordering system.
- Ring us during office hours and place an order over the phone.
- Order by post.
- If you are ordering for an educational establishment you can send an official order.
On-line ordering
To order on-line simply go to the Products Page. Then add the items you would like to your shopping basket. Once you have finished simply click on the Checkout button on the left. Our system uses PayPal to authorise and take payments. You do not need a PayPal account to place an order using the on-line system and PayPal will not charge you for making a payment.
Telephone ordering
VirtualAcorn's offices are open between 10am and 5pm Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays and Christmas. When no one is available to take your call an answerphone will be available for customers to leave a short message and contact details. Occasionally it will not be possible to have anyone available to answer calls for short period during office hours. Please do leave a message and you will be called back as soon as possible.
To order over the phone simply call us on 01283 522969 during normal office hours and we will be able to process your order. Please note that we accept Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Solo, JCB and Maestro cards.
Ordering VirtualAcorn by post
To order a copy of VirtualAcorn for your PC by post please send a cheque for the correct amount made out to 3QD Developments Ltd, to the following address.

If you want to include your credit/debit card information then please remember to include:
- The long credit/debit card number.
- Start and end dates of your card.
- Issue number (if applicable).
- The last three digits from the signature strip on the back of your card.
Please note that failure to include all the information may result in your order being delayed or rejected.
Ordering VirtualAcorn with an official order
We can accept official orders from UK educational facilities. The order must include an official order number and be signed by someone with the correct authority. Post the order to us at our usual address, regretfully we are not able to accept official orders via fax. Our terms are strictly 28 days from the date of invoice (this will be the date your order is processed) and full payment is due by the close of the 28th day. Until the invoice is paid the goods remain the property of 3QD Developments Ltd. Any invoices not paid by the due date will automatically incur a £6 charge and a reminder will be sent via normal post to the invoice address. Further reminders, each incurring a £6 admin charge will be sent every 7 (seven) days. By ordering from us with an official order you accept these terms and agree to pay any admin charges incurred by late payment of the invoice. Please note that we do not accept payment by BACS.
Product returns
If you need to return a product to VirtualAcorn for a refund or replacement (unless it is for an upgrade) then you need to contact us first by phone or e-mail and request a returns number. We will then issue you with a returns number which will be valid for 14 days. When returning the product please quote this returns number on the outside of the package. Please also include a letter giving your full address and phone number. You will also need to include a confirmation that no copy of the software has been made and that the software has been un-installed from all/any computers.
In the case of products that have been ordered in error, and where 3QD Developments has correctly fulfilled the customers order, any refund offered by 3QD Developments will not include any card processing fees or postage and packing charges incurred by 3QD Developments Ltd. 3QD Developments also reserve the right to deduct from any refund a 15% (of the net order value) restocking fee. All such refunds are also dependant on the goods being returned complete and in re-saleable condition.
For items that are demonstrably faulty there will be no deductions from the refund provided.
All refunds will be provided in the form of a cheque made payable to the customer concerned.
Please be aware that computer software, such as VirtualRPC, is specifically excluded from the Distance Selling Regulations under section 13(d).
