There are several different versions of VirtualAcorn available. There are two levels of performance, Standard (SE) and StrongARM (SA). Then there are two different versions of RISC OS, 4.02 and 4.39 (also called RISC OS Adjust). The table below gives you an idea of some of the features for each version.

* RISC OS (Acorn) format floppy discs can only be read using a standard internal floppy disc drive. The RISC OS floppy disc driver is currently only suitable for 32bit versions of Windows. DOS format floppies can be read from an external USB floppy drive on all versions of Windows.

VirtualRPC-SE is our standard level product and includes RISC OS 4 supplied by RISCOS Ltd. VirtualRPC-SE runs software intended for Acorn RISC PC, Acorn A7000, Acorn A7000+ and other computers fitted with RISC OS 3.5 or later. VirtualRPC-SE can also run the vast majority of software intended for older Acorn machines.

VirtualRPC-SA is our professional level RISC OS 4 product. It includes RISC OS 4 supplied by RISCOS Ltd and comes with ARM710, ARM7500 and StrongARM class software processors. VirtualRPC-SA runs software intended for Acorn RISC PC, Acorn A7000, Acorn A7000+ and other computers fitted with RISC OS 3.5 or later. VirtualRPC-SA can also run the vast majority of software intended for older Acorn machines.

It includes RISC OS 4.39 (RISC OS Adjust) supplied by RISCOS Ltd and comes with ARM710, ARM7500 and StrongARM class software processors.
