VirtualAcorn Products

There are four different versions of VirtualAcorn available. There are two levels of performance, Standard and StrongARM. Then there are two different versions of RISC OS, 4.02 and 4.39 (also called RISC OS Adjust). Therefore you can combine the two levels of performance and the two versions of RISC OS to produce the four products. The table below gives you an idea of some of the features for each version.

VirtualRPC-SE is our standard level product and includes RISC OS 4 supplied by RISCOS Ltd. VirtualRPC-SE runs software intended for Acorn RISC PC, Acorn A7000, Acorn A7000+ and other computers fitted with RISC OS 3.5 or later. VirtualRPC-SE can also run the vast majority of software intended for older Acorn machines.

VirtualRPC-SA is our professional level RISC OS 4 product. It includes RISC OS 4 supplied by RISCOS Ltd and comes with ARM710, ARM7500 and StrongARM class software processors. VirtualRPC-SA runs software intended for Acorn RISC PC, Acorn A7000, Acorn A7000+ and other computers fitted with RISC OS 3.5 or later. VirtualRPC-SA can also run the vast majority of software intended for older Acorn machines.
