There are several different versions of VirtualAcorn available. There are two levels of performance, Standard (SE) and StrongARM (SA). Then there are two different versions of RISC OS, 4.02 and 4.39 (also called RISC OS Adjust). The table below gives you an idea of some of the features for each version. All products come with one years (from date of despatch from our offices) technical support via phone/e-mail. They also include lifetime technical support via the Support section of the VirtualAcorn website and the VirtualAcorn Forums.

Windows PC versions of our products operate on Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8. Mac OS X versions operate on G4, G5 and Intel Macs running Mac OS X 10.4.0 or later.

* RISC OS (Acorn) format floppy discs can only be read using a standard internal floppy disc drive. The RISC OS floppy disc driver is only suitable for 32bit versions of Windows. External USB floppy drives can only read DOS format floppies and cannot read Acorn format floppy discs.

VirtualRPC-SE is our standard level product and includes RISC OS 4 supplied by RISCOS Ltd. VirtualRPC-SE runs software intended for Acorn RISC PC, Acorn A7000, Acorn A7000+ and other computers fitted with RISC OS 3.5 or later. VirtualRPC-SE can also run the vast majority of software intended for older Acorn machines.

VirtualRPC-SA is our professional level RISC OS 4 product. It includes RISC OS 4 supplied by RISCOS Ltd and comes with ARM710, ARM7500 and StrongARM class software processors. VirtualRPC-SA runs software intended for Acorn RISC PC, Acorn A7000, Acorn A7000+ and other computers fitted with RISC OS 3.5 or later. VirtualRPC-SA can also run the vast majority of software intended for older Acorn machines.

VirtualRPC-Adjust is our professional level RISC OS 4.39 product. It includes RISC OS 4.39 (RISC OS Adjust) supplied by RISCOS Ltd and comes with ARM710, ARM7500 and StrongARM class software processors.
